I'm a kenyan music damu but our artists wametulet down sana.The tz artists are chomoaing songs day in day out and the songs are sizzling hot and with content,quality from audio to video.Where did our kenyan artists went wrong? As per now the music scene is quiet.Whats happening?  ?? |

Bwana Riley wala hujakosea...bongo kuna miziki na mashairi ya nguvu aisee...very different
from Kenya.Maybe through colabos by folks like AY kenyan music will catch up.
Kisha my feeling is that the reason Kenya hakuna mziki kwa sasa is the siasa situation.
Even prior to the elections, the campaigns had filled all media outlets and the few musicians
out there were singing to the tune of the politricksters.

Why lie,Kenya artists wanachapwa kushoto kulia by the TZ artists.It's not about the political situation but talent.i think we lack talent.

it maybe true that our musicians cannot compare to the T.Z ones but all the same its only the those who claim to be the 'mainstream' musicians who are a let down. Think of guys like the ukoo flani maumau those guys rock even the songs from back then; for me the songs likke kushoto kulia leaves one asking is it that we lack creativity as kenyans or something cos i dont seem to understand why someone would listen to such kind of songs not unless you are drunk...........i have got no hard feeling for any one so dont get me wrong.

Maybe its just me but this is the same ish Nas was talkin abt how hip hop is dead. Kushoto kulia is a bloody gud song 2 katika to. Its catchy n rhythmic. Its a club song! Even 2pac did club songs! We hav mad talent: Juliani, Abbas, E.M.O, Chiwawa, Mwafrika, Nonini, Jua Cali....the list is seemingly endles.
Kenyanz r versatile as hell so this talk abt T-zediz being better than us is a load of bull. Those guys hav only 1 style n the only reason 1 might think they rap abt mo serious issues than us thats cz the weightier songs get mo spins than club songs. Not evri day is Furahi-dae ya kno.
