Jamaican roots reggae artist Luciano “Jah MessenJah” became emotional at a press conference that was held at a Nairobi hotel on Tuesday (30.09.08).
Accompanied by his entourage, made up of Raga Lox, Mikey General, Vernon and Jahlloyd, the musician could not hold his tears back during his speech at the conference.
“When I am in Kenya, it is like a reunion of the Africans after our ancestors were used as slaves for many years,” Luciano explained.
“And it is true that many of our brothers never made it.”
The musician also added that it was sad for him to realize that all the images that were being shown in their country about Africa were just the opposite of what he was seeing now.
The rest of the members of his entourage were also moved to tears as they addressed the conference.
