Akon cancelled the much awaited concert in down town Nairobi again due to "unavoidable circumstances".Is he for real ama he thinks Kenyans can not afford his concert entrance fee This is what transpired..... Event organizers told a media conference that the musician's agents called them Saturday morning saying Akon could not make it to the country due to what they termed as "unavoidable circumstances." The musician was expected in the country Friday evening in readiness for the peace concert at the Carnivore grounds. He was also scheduled to lecture the Tusker Project Fame contestants in Nairobi. This is the second time that the American artist has cancelled his tour to Kenya at the eleventh hour. Several attempts had been made by numerous promoters in Kenya to fly in Akon since last year. The Senegalese-born US artiste cancelled his tour to the country planned two days before Christmas last year citing heightened political activity before the general election. He was scheduled to perform at the Carnivore for Sh1,500 while VIP was Sh4,500. The show was to start at 7p.m. and Akon was to be on stage at 10p.m.
